Things I Am Learning
The questions, patterns and truths I am still working through in real time.

A Substack from Sonni
Real stories, honest F-bombs, beautiful rituals and absolutely no pretending.
Pull up a chair
I am not your perfectly packaged spiritual goddess. I am real, messy, vulnerable and honest. I curse like a sailor and have been told I am too honest for LA. After 15 years here, I am still a small-town girl who loves deeply, fiercely and leads with truth.
Life on this earthly plane is not a cakewalk. It can be beautiful, brutal, heartbreaking and hilarious. In a world of filters, highlight reels and quick fixes, I would rather show you my humanity than sell you a polished version of healing that does not exist.
Sincerely, Sonni is where I will share motherhood, healing, rituals, the things I genuinely love and the messy chapters that shaped me. I am fully fucking human, and I am proud of it.
Why I am here
Life can be painful. It can hurt like hell, and some mornings simply opening your eyes can feel brutal. Our pain is real, life is not always fair and finding even the smallest glimmer of hope can feel impossible.
I know what it feels like to navigate early motherhood, trauma and grief without a support system. That is why I believe so deeply in community and why I am building the Sanctuary. I cannot walk anyone’s path for them, but I can reach back, lend a hand and remind someone in the dark that they do not have to find their way home alone.
What you will find here
The questions, patterns and truths I am still working through in real time.
What has truly helped me through the hard stuff, plus what did not, because healing is rarely a straight line.
The love, exhaustion, identity shifts and beautiful mess of raising my girls while still trying to remember myself.
Personal letters about heartbreak, reinvention, creativity and finding your way home when you do not have it all figured out.
